"When you are working in the SAP market it is not uncommon that you are approached by executive search and selection companies on job offers. Having 16 years of experience in the SAP market I have often dealt with these companies as a customer, as well as on job opportunities they have offered me. My experiences were often far from positive. There seems to be more interest in ‘selling’ the candidate then ensuring there is a match between the customer requirements and candidate’s skills and ambitions.
You can imagine I was hesitant when I came in contact with Black Box Europe some time ago on a possible job opportunity. Pursuing this contact has however been quite a different experience. I received a detailed description of the job requirements and an interview with the customer was only arranged after a thorough assessment of my skills and ambitions against these requirements. It took some time and effort from Black Box and my side before I had the first contact with their customer, but this proved to be worth the investment.
By the time I went for my first interview, to what is now my new employer, I was well informed on the company profile, the job requirements and the match with my skills and ambitions. This really helped everybody to make the interview rounds effective and efficient. We felt we already knew each other when we first met!
During the interview rounds the communication by the Black Box Europe consultants was excellent. After every of the three interviews there was immediate communication on the results from the customer and candidate perspective and the next steps in the process.
